Through the efforts of the CANY Cares Campaign, City Access New York was not only able to secure enough donations and PPE (masks, gloves, face shields, sanitizers, gowns) for our own staff but also able to support the needs of some of the non-profit organizations in the Staten Island community.
On Friday, Crossroads Unlimited staff member Angela Edwards (see photo: bottom left) and Timothy Osho from Modest Community Services (see photo: bottom right) picked up masks and supplies from City Access New York for the DSP’s working at their group homes. We are so thankful to be able to help the DSP’s working so hard helping people with developmental disabilities in group homes and other settings. You are true heroes to this vulnerable population.
A special thank you to Borough President James Oddo and his team, Councilman Steven Matteo, Assemblyman Charles Fall, Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis, Senator Andrew Lanza, Congressman Max Rose, Assemblyman Michael Cusick and the All Island Kiwanis for all you are doing to help us during this most difficult time. We are truly grateful!!
