Happy Birthday to the Americans with Disabilities Act!
It’s July and here in New York we have been celebrating Disability Pride all month long as well as the anniversary of the ADA – the landmark law that makes so much possible for so many. As we celebrate this 35th Anniversary, we’re reminded that the rights we fought for are precious and that our continued attention and advocacy is required to preserve and protect them. People with disabilities are people first and entitled to the same rights as people without disabilities. It’s a message we’ll never stop repeating. Thank you for your partnership and your continued advocacy.
